Could not find a good option for a tool box in my Sonoma, so I decided to build one. Used old pallet wood and will have to head to Home Depot to get some hinges.
No formal training in carpentry either, if you can believe that!

kudos to you for having the patience to take a pallet apart. I always end up breaking 20% of the boards when trying to disassemble them.

Oh I do too, This thing is probably close to 5 pallets.

i believe it! i kid. it's nice, but are you going to store the tools in it? or just transport them. i actually like the closed look. hides the opening well.

It will likely mostly just hold booster cables, extra washer fluid, small toolbox, and other car necessities. I have a tonneau cover over the box as well but it does not seal very well and I would like something I can lock. Built it to make more room in the cab. Thought the covered look would help with it keeping water out and it looked better.
